Female meetup members - learn how to prevent personal crimes against you in a proactive approach to safety rather than "reactive."

Learn by using simple smart VERBAL & MENTAL actions, NON PHYSICIAL actions.

The Redmond Police Department will be presenting a Women's Personal Safety class on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
It will be held at the Old Redmond School House 16600 NE 80th Street, downtown Redmond. .
The class is appropriate for women approximately 15-years of age and older.
Seats are limited, so please only RSVP if you can definitely make it.

Please note this is not a self-defense class,
this is a proactive approach to safety rather than "reactive."
Some of the topics covered include:
• How to prevent becoming the victim of crime.
• How to handle "road rage" and prevent accidents.
• How to handle armed encounters including car jackings.
• How to make your home a "hard target."
• Use of force and your rights within the law.
• The pros and cons of weapons for personal security
