Bay Area Jewish Singles Havurah

A warm environment for making friends and connections in the Bay Area Jewish singles community--beyond JDATE, YAD, and the local synagogue scene. The Havurah is for Jewish singles of about 35-49 -- those of us who are a bit beyond YAD and want to be part of a Jewish community. We're an active, fun group of people looking to meet other great Jewish singles and enjoy events together. I would like to kick things off by hosting a once-a-month Shabbat potluck dinner (first one in March) at my house in Sunnyvale as a way to bring our community together. We'll go from there with other activities--hiking, checking out the latest Peninsula nightspots, going to Jewish cultural events--whatever you want to do! I'm looking forward to hearing from you with your ideas! --Mark p.s. I want to keep pretty close to the age range indicated - please keep that in mind as you look to join this group and RSVP for the upcoming dinner. There may will be need for someone else to create a separate 50-65 havurah.

Our April wine tasting was a great success! thanks to everyone that came (we had over 30!). Remember, everyone needs to work to get the word out if we are to make this a continued success.
Several members have expressed a desire to meet on a Saturday evening -- to avoid the fighting traffic to a Friday night event -- so let's do that. Read more
