I'm a busy single parent of a college student, an artist and art teacher (my calling). I find balance doing things I enjoy: hiking, xc skiing, camping, dancing, music, getting out with friends. I work hard & like to play & make things happen.
I love live music, most any kind. Art, dance, theatre, musicals, opera novice. Potluck parties with friends (I have a pool table & a great patio, gas grill.) Happy hours with good company & music.
Hiking; winter xc skiing & snowshoeing; bicycling lightweight; car camping, but just got a nice backpack for the yurt. Salt water swimming, kayaking & sailing (I wish!). Oh, and I love to dance!
Many people expressed the same feeling I have, that it's great to have a variety of activities and new and old friends to do them with who are single.

Mt. Taylor Hike (Ski? Snowshoe?)
"So glad we brought our layers, as we did get some snow. Didn't need snowshoes, but had some snow and ice on the trail. This was a great alternative to Gooseberry Springs, lots of it sheltered in the woods. ..."
"Thank you, Darlene, for a wonderful evening of dance. I was pleased so many came out, and it was great that it was open seating. The flamenco was fabulous: dancers, musicians, all deserved a standing O!"
Water Canyon Hike - Magdalenas
"Beautiful canyon hike on a perfect fall weekend. A few were beginning hikers who were challenged by the elevation gain, but most who hike regularly enjoyed it. Thanks, Al, for sharing a favorite spot of yours with us. ..."
Freddie Chavez at Yanni's Opa Bar
"This was my first time hearing Freddie Chavez, and he was terrific. An amazingly versatile performer, from mellow, easy listening to Motown to Tom Jones (we all sang the chorus on "Delilah"- too much fun!) ..."
"My first time doing all of La Luz; I'd only done parts. Thanks, Tom, for ordering up perfect fall weather, beautiful yellow aspens showering us with gold, and great company on the trail. ..."
"I got the retreat I needed, to recharge my creative batteries, plus some nice socializing around the campfire and sharing some meals. Perfect weather! ..."
"Buddy Holly Rocks" & dinner at 66 Diner
"Dinner at 66 Diner was yummy. As we arrived at Popejoy, picketing NMSO musicians reminded us of how they are getting impacted by cuts, so we're trying to support them however we can. ..."
