The Connecticut Film Festival has arrived in Danbury and SINGLES GOING WILD is attending its premiere! WHOO HOO!!!

WILD Movie Lovers unite for this Triple Treat as we not only catch the premiere screening of "The Fly Boys" and step back in history to enter the Palace Theater, but we'll hob nob with fellow independent movie loving film folks at the catered after party! All this for the cost of $25 and the $1 meetup fee!

So, WAIT A MINUTE, what is "The Fly Boys" about, you say??? No, it's not a documentary on Entomology (Darn!?!) and it's NOT about a group of wayward adolescents struggling with zipper issues (hmm...), read on for the movie scoop:
----------------------------
"The Fly Boys"
Jason (Jesse James) and Kyle (Reiley McClendon), recent friends from different sides of the tracks, become embroiled in the adventure of their lives when they discover a mysterious airplane at the local small-town airport. The boys sneak aboard the plane for a look, but are forced to hide in the luggage compartment when two strange men show up. Soon Jason and Kyle unexpectedly find themselves airborne over the open Arizona desert. But their troubles are only beginning as Jason and Kyle realize that they're now involved in a heist to steal millions of dollars from the mob in this high-action, coming-of-age film. In the midst of the adventure, they suddenly find themselves dancing in a wild frenzy with a meetup group in southern CT called "Singles Going Wild" and forget all about the plot of the movie when they become captivated by the Organizer's snake charming dancing spell and end up surrounded by a circle of wild dancers. (Ooops, okay, maybe that last part is being saved for the sequel! biggrin)

Run time: 118 mins.
Cast: Dallen Gettling, Harrison Young, Jennifer Slimko, Jesse James, J. Todd Adams, Reiley McClendon, Robert Costanzo, Stephen Baldwin, Tom Sizemore

The movie was fabulous, the friends were fun, there was dancing, the wine flowed and we found a great brazilian restaurant - recipe for a magical evening. The Palace theatre is beautiful - I'm so glad they are putting it back into use. I think we found some new members too - always wonderful to get people moving and smiling :-D
