BRRR! Yes, the weather's getting colder, which means that Friendly Native New Yorker Walking Tours Meetup is now officially on hiatus--can't have much fun on a walking tour if you're shivering in your shoes! We'll be back in the spring time, hopefully with a few new tours to add to the ones we have already. Sign up anyway so you'll get the first notices of when the spring tours start (or if a Thanksgiving weekend tour might take place, depending on the weather). Til then, please do check out our sister groups, also organized by me:
Great Places in Gotham (http://www.meetup.com/The-Great-Places-in-Gotham-Meetup/
), for visiting museums in the city;
and Classic Movie Meetup of Manhattan (http://filmind.meetup.com/385/), where we see some great films on the big screen.
Tired of going to the usual singles event at a bar and finding yourself with nothing to say--because there's nothing in particular to talk about at just a plain old bar??
Then come on a "Friendly Native New Yorker" Walking Tour!
See the city, learn some fun local history, and meet some new people, all at the same time.
Add a little urban adventure to your weekend by coming along with us.
Native New Yorker Linda is a licensed New York City tour guide (star rated) and has been a docent/educator at both The Merchants House Museum and the Fraunces Tavern Museum.
