“ I've been to other meetup events, and I'm sure this was just a weird, onetime mishap, but I was annoyed to find that when I got to the will call table, my name and my guest were not on the list. Two other people were near us who also signed up through the Meetup, and they weren't on the list, either. It's fantastic to spread the word about local events through this great site, and it's fine to charge a fee higher than the cost of paying at the door, but at least convey the fact that we signed up. I had to plead with the name-taker that we DID in fact sign up and paid $30 apiece to you. ”
