Fun in Westchester!

I thought the Westchester members might be interested in a fun event from a group I belong to in Westchester.

The Westchester City Island Sailing Meetup's Boatless Regatta

When: Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 1:00 PM

Fee: 5.00 per person

Location: We will meet at a bar located on City Island

The Teams: Each team will consist of 1 captain and 5 crew members. (You can come as a team or we will have a list to join one once you get here)

The Markers: Each marker is a designated bar

The Rules:
1) Each team must complete a series of questions and tasks related to sailing.
2) Each member is required to have 1 drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) at each marker.
3) Each team is required to have one designated driver or sign up with one of the designated drivers provided

The Winner: The first team to the finish is the winner

Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams!

First Place:
Each team member receives choice of one clinic from New York Sailing Center: Intro to Sailing/Refresher (mostly on the water) or GPS (mostly in the classroom) or Spinnaker (most or all on the water, depending on variables.) Value: $125

Second Place:
Day sail for 6 team members aboard Wild Child.

Third Place: Announced soon!
